Professor Pablo Léon Higueras, Université de Castilla-La Mancha, Instituto de Geologia Aplicada (IGeA)

Pablo L. Higueras holds a Doctorate in Geological Sciences from the University of Granada, Spain. From 1980 to 1990, he worked as a Project Geologist for "Investigaciones Geológicas y Mineras S.A" (INGEMISA) and "Minas de Almadén y Arrayanes S.A." (MAYASA), where he led consulting projects for INGEMISA and internal mining research for MAYASA. In 1990, he joined the Department of Geological and Mining Engineering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, based in Almadén, home to the world’s largest cinnabar ore deposits.
