Congratulations to Fabrice Gaillard (DR, CNRS) who has just been awarded a prestigious European ERC Synergy Grant for his GEOASTRONOMY project. This success, coupled with 6 years' funding, will enable him to explore how the chemical composition of stars determines the nature, structure and atmospheres of the planets that surround them. The project is based on an international consortium combining three complementary areas of expertise: Fabrice brings his know-how in experimental geology from Orléans, Stephen Mojzsis his mastery of cosmochemistry from Budapest, and Kevin Heng his expertise in astrophysics from Munich.
